SPIRIT HYMN, 2024

SPIRIT HYMN

 29" x 38" (73cm x 96cm)  Framed under glass

Spirit Hymn features four distinct blocks of color bands. Some are wide and bold, asserting their presence, while others, equally bold, frame the piece, holding it together with a cohesive embrace. The free-form stitches that dance across the surface suggest gentle rain, a soft, rhythmic patter that evokes a sense of tranquility and reflection.

Modern bedroom with abstract wall art and wooden paneling.

THE LONG THREAD 2025

THE LONG THREAD

 24" x 30" (61cm x 76cm)

This piece was co-designed by myself and my 99-year-old father, an artist in his own right and the source of much of my creative lineage. In the layered stripes and hand-stitched pathways, the work reflects the ongoing exchange between generations.

EQUILIBRIUM, 2025

EQUILIBRIUM

24" x 28" (51cm x 71cm)

This composition is built from painted and raw fabrics joined quietly—stitched only in the ditch—to preserve the smoothness and natural flow of the materials. There is no single focal point, only a steady rhythm and calm cohesion.

NEGOTIATING THE DIVIDE, 2026

NEGOTIATING THE DIVIDE

 26" x 37" (66cm x 94cm)

This work explores the spaces that form between us, the lines we inherit, construct, and cross. Two fields of pattern sit side by side, each with its own rhythm, its own logic, its own community.

Modern dining area with wooden table, white chairs, and abstract wall art.

STEADY INTERVALS, 2025

STEADY INTERVALS

24" x 35" (60cm x 76cm)

Steady Intervals explores structured compositions contained within individual units, where selective stitching reinforces rhythm rather than surface. Each square functions as a self-contained study, held together by measured repetition and restraint.

UNSPOOLED, 2024

UNSPOOLED

40" X 37" (101cm X 94cm)

A moss-toned frame centers a found Japanese textile, rich with original pattern. Hand stitching enhances and repeats the motif within the cloth, echoing its design outward. The threadwork amplifies the fabric’s story, releasing its pattern like an unspooling spool.

SHIFTING CENTERS, 2024

SHIFTING CENTERS

35" x 35" (89cm x 89cm) Unframed

Circles gather and disperse across the surface, each one suggesting a center that is never quite stable. Through dense, hand-stitched marks, the work accumulates time and intention, while simultaneously dissolving fixed points of focus. What appears ordered is in constant motion—centers shift, relationships change, and perception recalibrates.

EMOTION IN MOTION, 2025

EMOTION IN MOTION

24" x 30" (60cm x 76cm)

This work channels feeling as movement—color shifting, marks gathering and scattering, energy rising and dissolving. Saturated fields of magenta, violet, and chartreuse create a charged surface where circles drift, lines pulse, and textures collide.

ENTWINED, 2025

ENTWINED

24" x 29" (60cm x 75cm)

This piece balances intuitive gestures with disciplined stitching, letting color, texture, and line weave their own conversation. The controlled geometry holds space for the wild energy within it, while the more organic passages soften the rigidity of the grid.

WHERE THE LIGHT BREAKS, 2025

WHERE THE LIGHT BREAKS

24" x 28" (51cm x 71cm)

This  work balances intuitive gestures with disciplined stitching, letting  color, texture, and line weave their own conversation. The controlled  geometry holds space for the wild energy within it, while the more organic passages soften the rigidity of the grid.

SURFACE CONVERSATIONS, 2026

SURFACE CONVERSATIONS: Blue Interval

Printed forms, stitched lines, and layered textiles occupy the same surface while maintaining their own distinct identities. Rather than merging into a single narrative, they exist in dialogue—each responding to the presence of the others through rhythm, interruption, and balance.

SURFACE CONVERSATIONS: Contour Drift

Topographic imagery suggests systems of order and measurement, while hand-couched thread introduces an intuitive, human counterpoint. The resulting composition reflects the quiet tension between precision and improvisation, where structure remains present but never fixed.
